Sand & Iron was founded by designer and fabricator RO Crouch, whose background in architecture and fine metalwork shaped a distinct design perspective—one that values strength, subtlety, and soul. What began as a one-person workshop has grown into a collaborative studio committed to elevating everyday objects into artful experiences.

Every Sand & Iron piece is crafted in our studio in South Brunswick, NJ, where design and fabrication happen side-by-side. We value intentional, small-batch production, and use honest materials like raw steel, hand-cut glass, and hardwoods. Our process emphasizes attention to detail, from the first sketch to the final finish.
